Supporting Statement: It is important to ensure that municipal workers on the lower end of the pay scale are provided an income that matches the local cost of living.

Supporting Statement: I believe that private contractors can underbid and and fall short of delivering within the original terms of a contract, just as much as municipal workers can be efficient and cost effective provided they are given appropriate oversight.

Supporting Statement: Council represents the people within their ward and if the mayor overturns the people's voice then it is no longer a democratic process.

Supporting Statement: The city of London represents all people, and should encourage acceptance, and support.

Supporting Statement: A land acknowledgement is a step towards truth and reconciliation and honors the people in the community and our stewardship of the land.

Supporting Statement: London was built by historical figures that we honour with names and statues. We recognize that they may have had transgressions by today's standards. This should not discredit the fact that they were instrumental in building our city, nation and identity.

Supporting Statement: Many residents depend on the various services that the city provides. These services can not come at the expense of lower taxes. Having said that, city council needs to make wise spending decisions to not overburden the tax payer.

Supporting Statement: Fees can become barriers for some to access services, this can negatively impact individuals, most often those effected are the most vulnerable; children, seniors and low income. Increasing building permit fees can deter growth or lead to illegal construction. Expensive garbage disposal fees can lead to illegal dumping in parks and roads. Fees set have to be reasonable and not burdensome to those who need to pay them.

Supporting Statement: Homes should be lived in and when somebody purchases a home and allows it to sit unoccupied and become derelict, this has a negative impact on the neighborhood. Rent it, tear it down and turn it into a temporary community Greenspace; but do not allow it to deteriorate. The hope is that a tax will act as a means to dissuade people from land-banking and if they do, funding can go back to the community it is hurting.

Supporting Statement: People buy their home based on the existing demographics of the neighborhood. When the housing demographic is changed, it impacts existing residents and can change the face of a community. Currently, a developer can purchase a house on any main road or through way, (main road within a neighborhood) within the city, and can build up to a 4 story multi-residential townhouse unit and does not require approval. This can substantially change the look and feel of a neighborhood.

Supporting Statement: I believe in responsible urban planning that sets green space as a priority of high importance. Every development needs to have a green space that includes walking pathways, a naturalized area as well as green park space. Where there will be significant environmental impact to an area, natural water way, forest, or ecologically significant area, that space should not be developed and the surrounding development needs to be respectful to not disturb or impact it in any way.

Supporting Statement: I believe that the integrity of existing neighborhoods needs to be maintained. We need to be very conscientious in planning new subdivisions.

Supporting Statement: Low income families have limited resources but that shouldn't mean limited opportunities. A child should have the ability to learn to skate or swim even if their parents don't have money. A child should be able to learn to read or get help with school through our libraries, even if their parents can't afford tutors. Seniors should be able to engage in activities to remain health and active both physically and mentally despite limited means.

Supporting Statement: Bike lanes on high traffic roads are important for safety and should exist and be added when roads are repaired or expanded. On low traffic roads, riders can share the road safely without the need for dedicated bike lanes.

Supporting Statement: Police presence plays a dual role. It discourages crime and assures the public that community safety is a priority and exists.

Supporting Statement: As our city continues to grow so too should our police force to help ensure public safety.

Supporting Statement: We want to encourage families and individuals to be comfortable downtown so open drug use must be removed. I believe the individuals using drugs should be given opportunity to access support services and that safe access sites should make this a priority over prescription writing and distribution..
